Courage

Courage

Courage serves one purpose and one purpose only - Not to take life too seriously.

It is not a tool to fight with others or stand up to the bullies.

Imagine what you are actually doing when you are standing up to a bully.

You are telling them not to take life so seriously as to hurt others.

Every great fictional or real battle in history is a testament of this fact.

Imagine when Captain America was standing alone to fight Thanos..

He was telling him, no matter how much humanity sucks..

The condition is still not as serious as to eliminate the entire humanity.

Thanos was the serious one, Cap was being playful even when he was facing certain death.

Same is true for all religious stories. The bad side is always too serious, The good side is always playful.

Budhdha was telling people that religious dogmas are not to be taken seriously.

Jesus was telling people that even poverty is not serious enough to fight with each other.

Krishna's fight was against the seriousness of material possessions.

In the book, The myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus..

He talks about the story of Sisyphus who was condemned by God..

To roll a boulder on top of the hill, just to see it coming down and do it all over again for eternity.

In the book, Camus' conclusion is that we should still imagine Sisyphus doing this with a smile on his face.

Because no matter how serious life gets, playfulness is always the way out.

If you are playful, you may never get out of your rotting situation.

But if you are serious, you are definitely never getting out.

Don't take life too seriously as to create attachments or detachments from other human beings.

Tao Te Ching is an epic about how to flow in life, i.e. not to take anything so seriously that it stops you from flowing.

It is a masterclass in playfulness.

If you are too serious about an issue that is making you feel disconnected with another human being..

It is sad thing to say, but you are in the wrong.

Take inspiration from children, they are the most courageous people, never thinking about consequences..

Because they have a very short memory, they don't keep any grudges.
